White Kaolin - Clay Mask

Kaolin clay is known for absorbing excess oils or sebum from the skin’s surface and gently exfoliates the skin. It is also effective in removing pore-clogging contaminants such as dust, dirt and dead skin that can accumulate on the skin’s surface. Kaolin is known to deeply clean pores and removes impurities by gently exfoliating the skin, which helps in minimizing the appearance of pores and revealing brighter skin. Thus, kaolin clay-based masks are often considered the best face mask for pores. Not just pores, you can see the deep action of Kaolin clay on your blackheads, whiteheads and acne scars as well. An excellent astringent, this clay is perfect for cleansing, stimulating and detoxifying. For people with oily skin, clay products are a must-have in their skin care regime.

Tips for use:

MASK: for a simple and effective mask, mix a few drops of purified water, floral water or aloe vera juice, with a few drops of your favourite carrier oil into 1 tbsp of clay until a smooth paste is formed. 1-2 drops of essential oil can also be added for extra benefits. Apply to the face or body and leave for about 10 minutes ( or until partially dry). Gently rinse off and finish with a good moisturiser or face serum.

NOTE: Never use metal when mixing clay as this takes away some of the clays mineral properties. Use glass, plastic or wooden spoons in bowls instead.
